Welcome to my help site. Here are a few pages I put together to help Queens College Undergraduates though their time at Oxford.
This is a new start for the site. Due to it's increasing size I've migrated to my first CMS (don't ask). In short it allows the site to grow to much bigger sizes while retaining the ability for mass change, like a new look.
Android Rooting GlossaryI have spent a lot of time recently over on the forums at MoDaCo.com. I noticed a few people were getting confused over the terminology. This is a cut and paste of a post I made to one such member. Hopefully you find it as helpful. ROMs - think windows/linux/OSX it's bit you interact with on the phone, the operating system. More specifically, android is the operating system but ROMs are variations of android which maybe go faster, are more stable, have more features than the version that came on your phone.
Preview all your photos!Get windows previews for all your picturesI take most of my photos in RAW mode as it's better for editing but this means I don't see anything when I'm looking at the windows thumbnails. This can be annoying as I have to use programs like adobe bridge to see which file is which. However, with these picture codecs installed windows is able to read all me different picture formats. They're free! Get them here http://www.fastpictureviewer.com/codecs/ EDIT: now they are not - shame. Instead, try downloading codecs for your individual formats:
